Voptimise, conceived this as a housing project with affliated facilities at one of Bangalore's emerging locality of Vidyanagar. The site is located in North of Bnagalore and is of 1.75 acres, and is part of a larger gate community of low rise and presently low density development.
The site on a macro level with number of trees existing and the immdediate well planned neighbourhood on a whole offer a serenity which is a throwback to the old Bangalore and yet is the address of the future city.
The project has been aptly named 'Vipina' ( "forest" in Sanskrit)- An urban jungle for those who appreciate the business and lifestyle oppurtunities the city affords, yet wish to leave the urban stresses behind.
We evolved a scheme which involves development under high rise apartment category and which preserving most of the existing trees and also including an exclusive Club house with surrounding trees and creating the FOREST environment.
Planned in two seperate blocks with elevated courtyards in between which act as walkways and access to the exclusive clubhouse, this project boasts of bringing in ample amount of natural light and ventilation into every living space. One apartment block has been dwarfed to create recreational spaces like Sky Theatre, Sky Lounge and Terrace Garden. The design intent is to bring nature closer to all individual units and this was achieved by planning a linear living space which can be a combination of eother Living-dining or Family-dining or Living-family. These spaces have been further extended into a terrace deck which comprises of Greenery in the form of Planter boxes which can hold up trees like Bonsai Olive, Plumeria; tress of 3-5m height.
The Exclusive clubhouse has been designed in a way that no existing trees have to be cut down and instead these trees are used in the form of courtyards and voids in the building, so that the trees form what we call a FOREST environment in the clubhouse and the entire site.
